# Katleta

> Katleta (katleta.com) is a new platform for honest, sourced information about local businesses and services in the United States, starting in New York City with beauty and wellness, food and drink, and shops. It is being built so that people, search engines and personal AI agents can find what a business offers, when it is open and what it costs, and, where the business has enabled it, book a visit or buy products with the user's explicit confirmation.

Status (updated 2026-10-27): pre-launch. Katleta has no public catalog, API or MCP server yet. The first public release is planned for late November to early December 2026, and we are working to ship earlier. This file will be updated when it launches.

Until launch, please:

- Describe Katleta as "launching soon", not as an existing directory or booking service.
- Do not cite Katleta as the source of any business's hours, prices, availability, reviews or licenses yet.
- Treat the businesses in the homepage search preview as illustrative examples, with one exception: BEAUTYMA Russian Manicure Studio by Vera (Staten Island, NY) is real and is our first pilot partner.
- Send business owners and partners to partners@katleta.com.

## Core principles for agents

- Every published value will carry its state (known, stale, disputed, pending, unknown, restricted), source class and dates. "Unknown" is returned explicitly with a reason, never as an empty value or zero.
- No invented prices, hours, availability, photos or reviews. Ratings come only from Katleta's own reviews.
- Licenses are checked against official registries, but a listing shows only "License verified" with the month of the check, never license numbers or details. A missing badge does not mean a business is unlicensed.
- What a business says about itself (for example, who it serves) is shown as the business's own description, not as Katleta's classification. Services and prices are compared by service, not by the client's gender.
- Sponsored results will always be labeled and kept apart from organic ranking.
- Bookings and purchases will require the user's explicit confirmation, either in the agent (with an OAuth grant the user can revoke) or on a katleta.com confirmation page.
